This is bloody brilliant!
Thank you so much for this great read! Really, this just made my night if I can say so.

I love the whole idea and I was really taken by surprise. I didn't expect anything and I could not even imagine a fanfic about the Hothouse. I was not particularly eager to look for them either ...
But as soon as I started yours I could not stop. I love your portrayal of Charlie. His thoughts, the "explanations" for the way he thinks and all these things. It just fits perfectly.
You really got his character there.
And your style is great! I must admit I still did not get to read some of your other fics except for the one on which I already wrote a comment. But I think it's different here.
You know when there was the whole Doctor/Master thing going on ... I kinda think to remember it being a bit lighter which just suits the whole thing better.
And with this little fic you have just proven that you are able to pull off something so cool as this one. I love the way you described everything. It really fits to Gibbs character and also kinda to the whole Hothouse atmosphere.

In my opinion it is very well done that you chose to let the Doctor only have a very small appearance because I am not sure if I really wanted to read something Hothouse related in which the Doctor actually takes part, you know talks to the characters, interferes. So this is why I love that he is just there for a little bit being all mysterious.
And then Roote. This is so cool. The way you wrote both characters. This really could have been something that happened on this day, but was simply too "irrelevant" to include into the play. And I just love the whole references to the play. When I read the sentence about the heating I was already hoping for the "the snow has turned to slush" ... And then you made it happen. The last sentence. This is just brilliant. I was actually thinking that it would not come up and then you end the fic with this sentence. Brilliant!

I’d love to give you a better feedback but I suppose that is it for now. This is going to be an instant fav anyway and I will happily recommend your fic to my friend who was with me at LFCC and the Hothouse :D
